Accessibility

Last updated: July 24, 2026

Safemode LLC wants everyone to be able to read this site and get in touch with us, including people who browse with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, or reduced motion turned on. This page describes the standard we build to, how we check our work, what we know is still imperfect, and how to tell us when we have got something wrong.

Conformance status

We build safemode.marketing to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. Based on our own testing, we believe the site substantially meets that standard.

To be precise about what that claim rests on: this is a self-assessment by the team that built the site, not an audit by an independent third party. "Substantially meets" means we have found and fixed the issues our testing surfaced, not that we can promise there are none left.

What we have built in

  • A "Skip to content" link as the first item on every page, so keyboard users can jump past the navigation
  • A clearly visible focus outline on every link, button, and form control, so you can always see where you are
  • Semantic headings and landmarks, so screen reader users can navigate by structure instead of reading top to bottom
  • Text alternatives for images, and text descriptions for the charts and diagrams that carry meaning
  • Decorative graphics hidden from assistive technology, so they do not add noise
  • Text and interface colors chosen to meet AA contrast ratios, and no information conveyed by color alone
  • Animation that respects the "reduce motion" setting in your operating system
  • A contact form with labelled fields, and errors that name the specific field, appear next to it, and move focus to it
  • Layouts that reflow for zoom and small screens

How we test

  • Automated checks with axe-core across every page of the site
  • Manual keyboard-only passes through the navigation, the mobile menu, and the contact form
  • Contrast checks on the color palette
  • Review of each page's heading structure

Automated tools catch only part of what matters, so we treat them as a floor rather than a passing grade.

Known limitations

We would rather list these than let you discover them:

  • Spam protection on the contact form. The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, a third-party widget whose markup we do not control. It is designed to be solvable without interaction, but if it blocks you, email us directly and we will pick up the conversation there.
  • Charts and diagrams. Our illustrations carry a text description of the point they make, not a full data table. If you want the underlying numbers behind anything on the site, ask and we will send them.
  • Links to other sites. External links open in a new tab. We do not control the accessibility of anything we link to.
  • No independent audit yet. See the conformance note above.

Tell us about a problem

If any part of this site is hard to use, we want to hear about it, and you do not need to know the technical reason or cite a guideline. Describing what you were trying to do and what happened is plenty.

Email info@safemode.marketing. We aim to reply within five business days. If the site itself is the obstacle, that email address reaches a person directly, and we are glad to handle anything by email that the site would normally ask you to do through a form.

Keeping this current

We re-check accessibility when we make substantial changes to the site, and we update this page when the picture changes. The date at the top reflects the last time we did that.
